Evening lighting reflects the red color of the setting sun on the mountain peaks in Colorado. The Ponderosa pine look orangish brown in this light generating a mood of warmth in the coldness of winter. Ice and snow cover the lake but allow just enough reflection of the trees to sooth the viewer. This framed original is available for sale.
Welcome. Celeste is a New Mexico artist, painting in oils and acrylics. Her most recent work include acrylic pour and acrylic pour abstracts, landscapes, or florals. These new originals are priced to sell. Be sure to check them out under the Collections tab and help her support her art. A lifelong student, she paints lines and colors that fascinate the eye. She enjoys realism but also enhanced coloration for artistic intrigue. Occasionally, animals or people find their way into her artwork. The ability to paint in thick strokes, sometimes with a palette knife, delights her as adding another dimension to a painting. Celeste's favorite artists are Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cezanne, J. M. W. Turner, and modern-day artists Yuri Kutnezov...

Hi Galina, this is in Pagosa Springs Colorado in the late fall and winter. The hot springs there is world famous--see hollyhocks painting with umbrellas. One of my favorite places.
