Artist's Description

Reflections of snow-covered mountains soothe and inspire awe simultaneously. This peaceful scene is at the end of the road as the high mountains of southern Colorado stretch northward from the San Juan's and the Weminuche wilderness across the state northward. The ridge line is the continental divide. Water for this side of the snowy mountains drains into Williams Creek reservoir and south to the Piedra River. The reservoir is a favorite for locals and tourist. This painting is a loose semi-impressionistic painting. The original is unframed 6" x 12". This image looks nice with a thin black or gold frame. Cards look attractive when presented less than 100% in the horizontal view.

About Celeste Drewien

Celeste Drewien

Welcome. Celeste is a New Mexico artist, painting in oils and acrylics. Her most recent work include acrylic pour and acrylic pour abstracts, landscapes, or florals. These new originals are priced to sell. Be sure to check them out under the Collections tab and help her support her art. A lifelong student, she paints lines and colors that fascinate the eye. She enjoys realism but also enhanced coloration for artistic intrigue. Occasionally, animals or people find their way into her artwork. The ability to paint in thick strokes, sometimes with a palette knife, delights her as adding another dimension to a painting. Celeste's favorite artists are Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cezanne, J. M. W. Turner, and modern-day artists Yuri Kutnezov...
